5 Items You May Forget to Pack While Boating On Lake Norman
You have your bags packed for a great day out on Lake Norman, but then you’re out on the water and you remember that one thing you forgot to bring.
“We all remember food, drinks and sunscreen, but there are some key items that may slip people’s minds until it’s too late,” says Lowry Hobbs, owner of Westport Marina.
We’ve put together a list of five items that you’ll want to remember the next time you head out on the water.
Waterproof Phone Case
We all want to capture those fun moments on the lake and upload them to social media because if you don’t put it on Facebook did it really even happen? But nothing would be worse than getting your phone wet and not being able to use it. If you don’t have a waterproof phone case, a Ziploc bag will work just as well.
Being out in the water is fun, but you don’t want to have to tread water for hours. Pack up a noodle or a fun float so you can relax while hanging out in Lake Norman.
You brought your food and drinks, but where do you put the trash when you’re done? Be sure to bring some trash bags so you don’t have a messy boat!
Here in North Carolina, you know those mosquitoes like to come out in the summer. But nothing is worse than having itchy bites on some skin that has just been kissed by the sun.
After a day out on the lake, do you really want to drive back home in some wet clothes? Have a nice, dry set of clothes waiting for you at the car so you can have a comfortable ride home.
One other major item you should always bring on your boat is water! You want to stay hydrated while you’re out in the North Carolina heat and humidity! And of course, never forget to have fun!
